Wordless Wednesday: Sweetness
Blackmail photo for when he's older? ;)
OK, I know this is "wordless" Wednesday, and I should have just saved this picture for Photostory Friday... but I just can't help myself ;)
I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Back when we were kids, my oldest younger brother was always wanting to play dolls with me and my oldest younger sister... he wanted a baby doll of his own. My mom decided to get him his own baby doll for Christmas that year. Both my step-father and my uncle were totally appalled and against it. My mother justified it by saying that little boys needed to learn how to be fathers. So she went against their wishes and bought my brother his own baby doll for Christmas.
When my little brother opened that baby doll on Christmas Eve he was so surprised and so happy. He grabbed that baby doll and gave it a big hug and kept saying "my baby, my baby." He was just so overjoyed at having his own baby doll that it brought tears to just about everyone's eyes. After that, my uncle decided to get a baby doll for his son.
When I was pregnant with Baby B, I decided it was a good time to get D his own baby doll. I thought it would help him adjust to the new baby. I think it helped. Of course after a while he had forgotten about his baby doll. But yesterday I got Baby B her first baby doll and that renewed D's interest in his baby doll. They both ran around hugging and fussing over their baby dolls yesterday. Of course I was really trying to get a picture of both of them holding their baby dolls, but you know how hard it can be to get two little ones to cooperate for a picture :)
